Urban Plunge 2010

JOIN 100 college students.

LIVE in the inner city of Phoenix.

SHARE in a 4-day, life changing experience of hope and service.

Like you, we know local schools are at the heart of every growing community. The Urban Plunge project was created to immerse college students in an urban reality in order to aid local schools and struggling communities in need, and foster hope in the midst of life’s challenges. We don't have all the solutions or everything we need, but we will bring what we have and our hearts to love and share.

Over this year's Spring Break, March 13th to 16th, we will collaborate with Herrera Elementary School, Arizona State University, Young Life, Neighborhood Ministries, Phoenix Music and Arts, and five local churches to create a four-day, eye-opening urban service experience, inviting over 100 college students from across the valley to make a difference at Herrera Elementary school and its community.

To the teachers – We want to encourage you as you fight everyday for these children. You give them the most powerful tools in life – knowledge and hope! Please consider this a token of our appreciation!

To the students – We want you to know that people care about you and we want to meet you. We hope to begin a relationship that extends beyond these four days and help you move toward your amazing future!

To the community – Outsiders don't always know what is needed or the best way to lend a hand. That’s why we want to collaborate with you to make your community life better. Together we can make a difference.
